Urn Plant Bromeliad

Botanical Name
Aechmea Tayloensis

Yvette’s Notes
Lush green and warm burgundy toned leaves cup a muted deep red flower, what could be more exciting than that?  Like all varieties from this family the flower will eventually finish and you will have the excitement of seeing a new shoot grow from the mother plant, which will then flower itself.  They stay lower growing so are fabulous for placing under larger plants in your space, so you hide the sea of pots and begin to create that dream jungle. They also work perfectly as a dining table plant, so you can have a pop of green every day of the week.   They are simple to care for, a little mist in warmer months,  water through the centre cup when it is almost dry and they rarely need re potting as they have a small root system.
