This laundry basket is hand woven from kaisa grass with handle holes woven into the sides. The basket starts out a natural light green colour and as it dries becomes lightly tanned. Baskets are commonly made from kaisa because of the sturdy nature of the grass, making these baskets robust enough for everyday use. Hand crafted by skilled weavers working with Dhaka Handicrafts, one of our fair trade partners in Bangladesh.
